Car Scavenger Hunt Clues
Car clues should be used only with a parked vehicle, the engine off, the keys controlled by an adult, and every permitted compartment identified in advance. Players should never crawl beneath a vehicle or search near traffic.
Prepare the vehicle first
Park on private property or in a safe legal space, turn off the engine, remove the keys, engage the parking brake, and check the area around the vehicle. An adult should approve every compartment players may open.
Use passenger areas only
Good locations include a cup holder, seat pocket, closed center console, approved glove compartment, or clean cargo bin. Avoid pedals, controls, airbag panels, engine areas, tire wells, and anything beneath the vehicle.

Choose wording that fits the players rather than using every clue at once. Direct clues are best for younger children or an early stop in the route. Rhyming and indirect clues work better after players understand the hunt. Place the clue where it can be reached without moving heavy objects, opening private storage, touching hazards, or damaging the location.
