Easter Egg Clue Hunt

An Easter egg clue hunt follows a trail rather than asking children to race for every visible egg. Place one clue at each answer and reserve the final egg or basket for the last location.

Work backward

Choose the final basket location and write the last clue first. Continue backward until the opening clue can be handed directly to the players.

Use safe egg containers

Keep eggs away from food-preparation surfaces, appliances, pets, water, roads, and high shelves. Count every hidden item before and after play.

Adjust by age

Use pictures and direct descriptions for preschoolers, rhymes for elementary ages, and wordplay or codes for older children.
