Riddle Scavenger Hunt Clues
A riddle clue describes an answer indirectly. It works best when several lines point toward the same object and at least one detail rules out obvious alternatives.

Build from distinctive features
List three qualities of the answer before writing the clue. For a mailbox, those qualities might be outside, holds letters, and opens through a small door. Turn the strongest two into the riddle and save the third as a hint.
Keep each answer unique
Test the riddle against nearby objects. If a clue could describe both a closet and a dresser, add a detail about hanging clothes or doors. A fair riddle should not require the host to explain why one reasonable answer was rejected.
