Choose shared knowledge
Use subjects the group has studied, experienced, or intentionally selected. A mixed-age family hunt may use movies, local history, sports, and simple science. A classroom hunt should reinforce material already taught.
Connect answers to the route
The first letter of an answer may identify a labeled station. A numeric answer may point to an envelope. A multiple-choice answer may correspond to one of three directions. Explain the conversion rule before play begins.
